Youth with disabilities in Kenya face unemployment rates far higher than their peers, not because of a lack of capacity, but because of barriers to training, capital, and markets. Auschidys directly addresses these obstacles through practical, market-linked vocational training and comprehensive entrepreneurship support, equipping persons with disabilities with the skills, connections, and financial tools they need for sustainable economic independence.
Our Response
Through our Livelihood and Employment pillar, we partner with local businesses, cooperatives, and government agencies to create clear pathways from training to employment or self-employment. Every graduate receives business mentorship, financial literacy training, and connections to microfinance, the building blocks of sustainable economic independence. This work directly advances SDG 8 by promoting sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, alongside full and productive employment and decent work for all.

Our Approach

- Entrepreneurship: We go beyond skills, training participants in business planning, financial management, pricing, and marketing so they can build and sustain viable enterprises.
- Market Linkages: Auschidys connects graduates to real markets, including partner businesses, cooperative buyers, and government procurement opportunities that value inclusive sourcing.
- Financial Inclusion: Table banking groups and savings circles give participants access to microfinance, helping them start businesses, manage income effectively, and build long-term assets.
